There are known issues with Google Scholar's recaptcha settings which conflicts with access to full text items through Tufts.

As a workaround, please follow these instructions to access Google Scholar through Tufts:

METHOD 1 - TUFTS UNIVERSITY USERS

  1. Ensure you are logged into the Tufts University VPN
  2. Go to https://scholar.google.com and execute a search on a desired topic
  3. The results page should include full-text links that Tufts has access to

METHOD 2 - ALL USERS (INCLUDING TUFTS MEDICAL CENTER STAFF)

  1. Go to https://scholar.google.com
  2. Sign into your Google Account
  3. On the far left, select the menu icon (three horizontal bars)
  4. In the menu that opens, select "Settings"
  5. Then select "Library Links" in the far left menu that appears.
  6. Search for "Tufts University" in the "Show library access links" search box
  7. Ensure that  "Tufts University - Get this item at Tufts" is enabled or checked
  8. Select "SAVE"
  9. Execute a search in Google Scholar on a desired topic
  10. The results page should include full-text links that Tufts has access to

As an alternative to Google Scholar, we recommend searching PubMed@Tufts or JumboSearch.
